The loud barks from the throttle reverberate and even snap to attention, bursting through the city walls and spilling deep into the canyons that carry the legendary race course onto its epic journey.
The fans flock toward the horsepower in even greater numbers as the sun begins to break the morning mist. The flag man prepares himself. He releases his clutch on the green flag with one hand and raises it with the other.
The THR Motorsports machine, piloted by Mikey Childress, takes to the start line. And great anticipation swells, as in that moment of calm, the green flag remains suspended before the floodgates of adrenaline are unleashed into the desert.

Childress charged forward into his typical race pace, making passes and taking on greater positions the further into the race he navigated the team's four-wheel effort. After a day of overcoming mechanical issues, the crew managed to muster a fifth in class after a stellar performance by the entire crew and its sponsors.
