Robby Bell Races THR Motorsports Machine To Victory At Johnny Campbell Christmas Classic GP

THR Motorsports powerhouse Robby Bell reeled in yet another epic victory in the inaugural Johnny Campbell Christmas Classic Grand Prix last weekend aboard the mighty Precision Concepts-prepped Kawasaki KX450F. Bell racked up wins in the heralded unclassified race as well as the 450cc expert class.

"Johnny told me about it down in Baja," Bell said in a Cycle News post-race interview with ace moto journalist Mark Kariya, "so I looked online for it and decided to come out and give it a shot. I'm really impressed with the event. It was really well organized, it was well-marked and the course was awesome! We got blessed with good dirt all day long; you couldn't ask for anything more, really."

In the pro race, Bell was back in the business of owning the lead after earning the holeshot, but during his lap two effort, he crashed in the rocks.

"I did my best to sabotage my race and (Russell) Kailub got pretty close to me. We hung pretty even, then he just got fired up. The last lap, he was just all over it. I knew he was catching me a little bit so I'm like, 'All right, I've got to go! Game on! Then I guess just before the single-track, he slid out and that was it.'

The Bob Bell-prepped Kawasaki KX450F is backed by THR Motorsports, Kawasaki, Hoosier  Precision Machining, Precision Concepts, Corona Motorsports, ZLT, Dunlop, O'Neal,  GPR Steering Stabilizers, KLeN Laundry and Dirt Tricks.
