Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) is a non-traditional manufacturing process of using electricity discharged from an electrode or wire to quickly cut a conductive material. We utilize state of the art equipment and THR Motorsports creativity to make your tough parts not only to print, but also in an efficient and timely manner. Nesting is done on nearly every project so that multiple parts can be manufactured for hours on end. In addition, we run “lights out” on our equipment with failure mode auto dialers so that if the machine breaks it will call the operator. This results in the lowest amount of down time and the most efficient use of resources.
Key Manufacturing Features
Wire EDM
Often used for machining hard metals or those that would be very difficult to machine with traditional machining techniques.
Sinker EDM
Used for hex heads in poly screws, unique teeth applications in nitinol, steel, and ti as well as countless other applications.
