EXCELLENCE IN PEEK OPTIMA MACHINING - THR Motorsports started as a plastic machining company over 30 years ago. Over this time we have built a powerful knowledge base of do’s and don’ts in plastics, especially with PEEK OPTIMA®. Machining dry requires the proper speeds and feeds and tool design/selection to not only make a good part, but to ensure that burrs are kept to a minimum and your machine finish is as good as possible.

Machining your parts is the first step, but deburring can still pose a risk to parts for the untrained. THR Motorsports has dedicated PEEK OPTIMA® deburr specialist that understand how to eliminate burrs and verify burr free under a minimum of 10x of magnification.

Key Manufacturing Features Traceability

It all starts with traceability. Our lot control process is rock solid with every inch of material being tracked. Work in Process (WIP) as well as your locked and secured inventory can be analyzed via inventory reports anytime.

Dry Machining Cells

Air cooled by deionized air only, no coolant is used when working with PEEK OPTIMA®.

High Throughput Deburring

Microblasting and a unique high throughput deburr chamber ensure the fastest throughput.

Cell Manufacturing

THR Motorsport’s cell based manufacturing has dedicated, QC inspectors, deburr, pin install and final cleaning for all PEEK OPTIMA® projects.

Laser Marking

Dry Cell

We machine dry so not to introduce unnecessary risks during the manufacturing process. Every implant machine has a wipe down per shift where the machine, tools, and work area are all cleaned.

Cell Based Manufacturing

THR Motorsport’s Cell Based Manufacturing ensures the most efficient product flow through our facility. Movement from the machine to deburr, laser, pin install and quality is all done within the cell to keep our efficiency and throughput at an optimum level.

Full Lot Control

PEEK OPTIMA® is tracked by the inch, size, and by customer in our ERP lot control system. All material is fully traceable via Work In Progress (WIP) as well as inventory reports.

HIGH THROUGHPUT DEBURRING

Experience in deburring is often overlooked as a company’s core strength. Our experienced deburring team knows how to work with PEEK OPTIMA® to ensure burr free, cosmetically appealing parts.

ADC (Automatic Deburring Chamber)

Our automated deburring chamber guarantees maximum throughput while eliminating the need for typical manual deburring tools.

Microblast

Sodium bicarbonate based microblast stations ensure “Burr Free” delivery of your critical components.

Manual Deburring Cell

THR Motorsport’s manual deburring cell is staffed with not only skilled workers, but with workers who care. Deburring is an art form that is not be looked at lightly. Proper lighting, magnfication and a variety of unique tools ensure “burr free” parts for your implant applications.

PIN MAKING MACHINE

THR Motorsports machines around 600 hours per day on PEEK OPTIMA®. We make a lot of implants. For those that require a marker, that can sometimes be quite a number of markers to generate in a fast and cost efficient manner. Our new pin machine can make up to 3600 markers per hour. Keeping up with your needs won’t be a problem.
