Key Manufacturing Features
Dry Machining
Some of our machines are designed to run dry to meet the demands of the orthopedic industry. It increases run time, but we routinely run dry on Peek and know how to deal with the demands of "run dry" applications.
Rotary Broaching
Rotary broaching is a fast and accurate method of producing internal and external polygon forms on the end of a work piece while it is rotating.
The advantage of performing this operation is that it almost always costs less, because it eliminates a secondary operation on another machine. Unlike conventional broaching, in which a series of polygon forms that increase in size are pushed through a hole until the desired form is achieved, the rotary broach cuts the full form, one corner at a time, in one pass.
Thread Whirling
Thread whirling is a fast and accurate method used to cut thread profiles on parts that would otherwise deflect under the pressure of single point. This works great on small and long screws, plastic threaded parts and countless other applications.
High Pressure Gun Drilling
5,000 psi high pressure units can drill very deep holes in stainless, ti, and many other materials while holding tight tolerance, concentricity, and surface finish.
